Just like "Palace on Wheels" to promote tourism in Rajasthan, "Deccan Odyssey" promotes tourism in Maharashtra route of Indian Railways. A joint venture of Maharashtra Government and ministry of Railways, Government of India - Deccan Odyssey was started in year 2004, to provide a luxury travel experience for its guest, showcasing the grandeur of quondam Maratha Kingdom.

Deccan Odyssey offers 21 coaches, out of which 13 are for guests - which are named after famous historical monuments and famous sites of the state, Maharashtra.

Itinerary

Day 1: Mumbai

Welcome to the financial capital of India - Mumbai. Guest arrives at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 1530 hours. Upon arrival, guests receives a warm traditional Indian welcome, accompanied with a refreshing drink. After completion of registration process, guests will be escorted to their luxury cabins. With that, Deccan Odyssey will depart from Mumbai, for its first destination i.e Vadodara.

Day 2: Vadodara

Arrive Vadodara - the cultural epicenter of Gujarat - located on the banks of river Vishwamitri. After Breakfast on board, Disembark from the train & go for Sightseeing of Vadodara, which starts with visit of UNESCO World Heritage site, Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, The Park's landscape includes archaeological, historic and living cultural heritage monuments. Post that visit Jama Masjid, which is a blend of Indo-Islamic architecture. Return to train for onboard lunch. Sightseeing continues with visit of Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum - paradise for art lovers, where guests can see artwork by European and Indian artists including collection of Raja Ravi Verma's painting along with collection of sculptures in bronze and marble. Visit Laxmi Vilas Palace - which is four times the size of Buckingham Palace & It remains the residence of the Royal Family. Enjoy evening High tea at Laxmi Vilas Palace.

Day 3: Palitana

Day three of the tour begins in the holy city of Palitana in the state of Gujarat. After breakfast on board, embark on a visit to the renowned Jain temples, Palitana is the world's only mountain that has more than 900 temples. The first half of your day would be spend in the company of Jain Tirthankaras at the temples. After getting acquainted with the Jain Tirthankars, head back to the Deccan Odyssey for lunch. After lunch enjoy luxuries on board - as train continues towards Sasan Gir.

In the evening, watch the rural scene unfold as you sip on sun downer.

Day 4: Sasan Gir to Somnath

After early breakfast onboard Deccan Odyssey, the day begins with drive to Sasan Gir (Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary), a lone habitat of majestic Asiatic lions in India. A guide will accompanying you for the wildlife tour. Sasan Gir is also suitable for bird watching. As you would be done with the nature tour, enjoy a tribal dance show at the Gateway hotel. Later head towards Somnath temple, the 4th century Somnath temple is amongst the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. Enjoy the evening sunset as it washes away the corners of Somnath temple with its golden hues. After excitement of the day, return to Deccan Odyssey as it sets off for the Little Rann of Kutch.

Day 5: Rann of Kutch

Early Morning, Deccan Odyssey reaches Viramgam station. After breakfast, you would be heading towards the salty desert of the Rann of Kutch. The Little Rann of Kutch is one of its kind of tourist attraction in the world, for its scenic white desert. As part of the desert jeep safari, guests would be visiting the Wild Ass Sanctuary. The habitat is known for endangered Indian wild asses. The sanctuary is habitat to many species of animals and birds. Post lunch, you would be embarking on a village safari tour to meet the locals to get in-depth about the Rann of Kutch. The region is home to numerous tribes like the Agarias and Rabari tribe. After that, bid good bye to the Kutch & return to the luxury of the train as it leaves for Patan. Dinner on board.

Day 6: Patan

Deccan Odyssey would be reaching Patan by the morning - which is famous for its forts, lakes, holy places and a world heritage site. After having breakfast, drive to the sun temple at Modhera. Dedicated to the Sun God, the temple is an architectural masterpiece of sandstone & a protected monument. Besides the intricate carvings, the temple complex has a total of more than 108 shrines. Later, you would be visiting - Rani Ki Vav - world heritage site. This ancient step well is one of the biggest in Gujarat and is a beautiful example of sub terrestrial well architecture. Guests would also be visiting for shopping of Patola sarees. Then, return back to Deccan Odyssey for lunch. Spend your evenings witnessing rural India as the luxury train makes run towards next destination Nashik. On board Dinner & Overnight on Deccan Odyssey.

Day 7: Nashik

On Penultimate day of the tour, Deccan Odyssey reaches Nashik - the wine capital of India. After breakfast, embark on a visit to this ancient holy city & witness various Jain and Buddhist cave temples in India, Pandu Leni - which are as old as 1st century BC, while some belong to the period around 13th century. Nashik is also one of the largest wine producing states in India. Thus, guests would be taken to a visit to Grover Zampa vineyards, which is the finest wine facility in Nashik. Relish different wines of Chenin, Chardonnay and Shiraz grapes, made from traditional old methods. In the evenings, enjoy a walk along the sacred Godavari Ghats & witness Hindu rituals. Post that, return to Deccan Odyssey.

Day 8: Mumbai

Have breakfast on board as train reaches Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway station in Mumbai & as the tour comes to end, bid farewell to Deccan Odyssey with sweet memories.

Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi to Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore)

The journey begins with guests starting to assemble at the railway station in evening to complete the registration process and check in formalities for Indian Odyssey - receiving a traditional Indian welcome with welcome drink.

As guests enjoys the luxury of the train, the train depart Delhi for Sawai Madhopur, its first destination.

Day 2: Sawai Madhopur to Ranthambore National Park

The train reaches Sawai Madhopur, which is popular for one of the largest national park in India - Ranthambore National Park, where guest can view Bengal Tiger. Onboard breakfast and set out for the game drive. Ranthambore National Park is a tiger reserve. Other than tigers you can spot nilgai antelope, chinkara gazelles, sambhar deer, chital, leopard, Indian leopard, nilgai, wild boar, sambar, striped hyena, sloth bear, southern plains gray langur, rhesus macaque, mugger crocodile and chital, among others. After Jungle Safari, return to the train for lunch and relax for a while. After Lunch set out for a village safari, to get to know more about the people of Rajasthan's villages, which are mostly tribals who basically survives on farming and hunting. Spend evening having high-tea at the Sawai Madhopur Lodge, which served as a royal hunting ground for the erstwhile royal family of Jaipur. Return to the train as it leaves for Agra. Day 3: Agra

Next Morning, your luxury train reaches the City of Taj, Agra. After having breakfast onboard Deccan Odyssey, proceed to visit Taj Mahal - symbol of Love & the jewel of Muslim art in India. This white-marble mausoleum was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife - Mumtaj Mahal. Today it stands as a testimony of true love and magnificent architecture. After lunch at a city hotel, tour continues with visit of Baby Taj Also Known as Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah (Pillar of State). The tomb representing transition between first & second phase of Mughal architecture in India, belongs to Ghiyas Beg and was commissioned by his daughter Nur Jahan, years before the Taj Mahal. Then proceed to explore popular Agra Fort. Later, you can shop in the local markets or avail spa facilities at a hotel. Evening return to the comforts of the luxury train. Day 4: Jaipur

Arrive Jaipur - Pink City - Capital of Rajasthan, early morning. Jaipur is one of the colorful city in the world. After breakfast onboard Deccan Odyssey, leave for Amer Fort. A UNESCO World Heritage Site along with other Hill Forts of Rajasthan. The fort was built by Maharaja Mansingh in 17th century, but its grace and charm don't seem to have faded. Enroute Amer Fort, you can stop at other attractions such as Hawa Mahal, City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Hawa Mahal is an iconic spot, with 953 windows gives impression like honeycomb. Jantar Mantar - built by Rajput ruler, King Sawai Jai Singh II, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and world's largest stone sundial. Lunch at a city hotel. After lunch, you are free to explore the city by own, which includes either enjoying spa session in a city hotel or explore colorful markets of Jaipur which are stocked with handicraft, paintings, bangles, lehenga cholis and other knick-knacks. In time, return to the comforts of your luxury train. Enjoy Dinner onboard and stay overnight as it leaves for the next destination- Udaipur.

Day 5: Udaipur

The journey continues as train arrives in the City of Lakes, Udaipur. With picturesque landscape of the Aravali Range and scintillating lakes, Udaipur is also known as Venice of the East. Breakfast is served onboard. Tour begins with a visit of City Palace, the largest complex in Rajasthan with a beautiful Crystal Gallery in it. Then, enjoy a ferry ride on the Lake Pichola in order to reach Jagmandir Palace. This is where delicious lunch is served to the guests, accompanied with the taps of Tabla and rhythm of Jal Tarang. Later guest has option either to return to Deccan Odyssey and relax for some time or can go for a stroll through the Old City of Udaipur. Board the train again in the evening. Day 6: Vadodara

Aurangabad, the Mughal city named after Great Emperor Aurangzeb - is your host for the seventh day of the tour. The morning is at leisure, so you can enjoy breakfast session onboard. The train arrives in Aurangabad as the lunch gets served. After Lunch drive to Ellora Caves (UNESCO World Heritage Site), which is approx. 30 km from Aurangabad city. These caves consists of 30 caves that represent Hindu, Buddhist and Jain forms of art, dating back to a time between 4th and 5th century AD. After exploring the caves, return to the comforts of luxury train. Enjoy sun-downer at Mumbai-Hi in the evening, followed by dinner. Overnight stay onboard.

Day 8: Mumbai

The Deccan Odyssey reaches the final destination of its tour, Mumbai. The train stations at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station of Mumbai. After breakfast onboard, guests disembark and bid farewell to the Deccan Odyssey.

Day 3: Udaipur

Next morning Deccan Odyssey is in Jodhpur - featuring many palaces, forts and temples, set in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert. After breakfast, the morning is at leisure or guest can enjoy a relaxing spa season at a luxury hotel or visit Bishnoi tribal village, Weaver's village or potter's village & get a sneak-peak into the life of the people living there. Lunch onboard Deccan Odyssey. After lunch embark & visit to explore Mehrangarh Fort. The grand palaces within - Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana are amazing examples of architectural excellence. Experience glimpses of the lifestyle of the residents as you explore the city. Near the fort complex lies Jaswant Thada, and a group of royal cenotaphs made of white marble. In the evening enjoy lip-smacking Marwar barbeque delicacies which are served in the royal courtyard of Mehrangarh Fort.

Day 5: Agra

Arrive Agra in Morning, home to some of the most magnificent architectural gems that were built by Mughal emperors during their reign. After a relaxed breakfast, Disembark and visit the monument of Love - Taj Mahal - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Enjoy lunch at a City Hotel. After Lunch, visit Itmad-ud-Daulah tomb - the Baby Taj. The mausoleum was commissioned by Nūr Jahān, the wife of Jahangir, for her father Ghiyas Beg. Later Visit Agra Fort, another masterpiece of Mughal Architecture. The fort, once was the main residence of Mughal dynasty. First Emperor Akbar - rebuilt it with red sandstone & later his grandson, Shah Jahan took it to its current state. After sightseeing, guests have the opportunity to explore local markets or enjoy a relaxing spa session at a famous City Hotel. Evening return back to Deccan Odyssey. Day 6: Sawai Madhopur - Ranthambore National Park

Early morning the train arrives at Sawai Madhopur - which is famous for Ranthambore National Park. Ranthambore is one of the finest Tiger Reserve of India and considered the best Place to spot a tiger in his own natural habitat. The Park is also popular with the wildlife Photographers. After an early breakfast, proceed for a Wildlife safari inside the park. You can see herds of Chital and Sambhar deer as well as wild boar, Nilgai antelope and crocodiles etc. Return back to train for lunch. Guest can also go for a village safari to interact with local peoples. After an amazing afternoon, enjoy hi-tea at popular hunting lodge of the royal family of the region. Late evening, return back to the train for dinner and overnight stay as it proceed for the Pink City of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Day 7: Jaipur

On the Penultimate day of the tour, you are going to explore capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur, The Pink City of Rajasthan. Jaipur is one of the colorful city in the world. Jaipur is the gateway to the desert state of Rajasthan. Founded by Rajput ruler Maharaja Jai Singh II, in early 18th century, the city possess its grand Rajasthani flamboyance and traditional roots while embracing modernity. The biggest attractions of Rajasthan are its ancient monuments - forts, palaces - which are architectural masterpieces. Added to these are eco-sites such as elaborately embellished step wells, lake temples and lake palaces. After breakfast drive to 17th century masterpiece, Amer Fort. Itinerary

Day 1: Mumbai

Welcome to the financial capital of India - Mumbai. Guest arrives at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 1530 hours. Upon arrival, guests receives a warm traditional Indian welcome, accompanied with a refreshing drink. After completion of registration process, guests will be escorted to their luxury cabins. With that, Deccan Odyssey will depart from Mumbai, for its first destination i.e, Bijapur. Dinner on board. Overnight at Deccan Odyssey.

Day 2: Bijapur

Deccan Odyssey reaches Bijapur in morning, while guests enjoys their sumptuous breakfast onboard. Bijapur is an ancient city, which was established in the 10th and 11th centuries by the Chalukyas of Kalyani. It is one of the popular heritage city in South India. Under the support of Adil Shah dynasty, Bijapur was one of the prominent cities of the country surpassing great cities like that of Agra and Delhi. During his dynasty, Bijapur was flocked by scholars, poets, painters, dancers, calligraphers, musicians and Sufi saints. Later, the place was also recognized as the 'Palmyra of the Deccan'. The tour begins as guest heads toward Gol Gumbaz, the second largest tomb in the world & also mausoleum of Adil Shah. The structure of the dome celebrates the success of Deccan architecture. The dome constitutes of a circular gallery, which has an amazing aspect of echoing, every little murmur. Later, proceed for Jumma Masjid (one of the first mosques of India) & then to Malik-e-Maidan (the largest medieval canon in the world). Visit Mehtar Mahal (17th century ornamental entrance to a mosque), explore Ibrahim Rouza, whose 24m-high minarets are known to inspire those of the Taj Mahal. Return to the comforts of Deccan Odyssey for lunch. While you savor delicious lunch, enjoy the subtly changing shades of the landscape from your cabins. The train further heads to Aihole and Pattadakal. Dinner and night stay onboard.

Day 3: Aihole - Pattadakal

Day 3 of the tour is set out to explore the holy shrines and ancient attractions of Aihole and Pattadakal. These are one of world's largest temple complexes. Here, you get to see temples built by Chalukyan kings. Proceed to Pattadakal, which boasts of a combination of South Indian (Dravidian) and North Indian (Nagara) architecture. Return back to relish lunch onboard. After lunch, either guests can opt for a tour to impressive weaving village of Guledgudda, where they can see & familiarize with the weaving process on hand and power looms of Ilkal and Khan, or they can visit Badami & see rock cut caves and beautifully sculptured temples. Return back to Deccan Odyssey for Dinner and night stay & continue your journey towards Hampi.

Day 4: Hampi

Have breakfast onboard as train arrives Hospet & proceed for excursion to UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi palace ruins. Located in east-central Karnataka, India - It became the Centre of the Hindu Vijayanagara Empire capital in the 14th century. By 1500 CE Hampi was the world's second-largest medieval-era city after Beijing, and probably India's richest. The most important attraction of Hampi, Narasimha statue - carved out of a single block of stone. Later, you head to Mustard Ganesh. Here, you can see an elephant God statue. Enjoy the breathtaking views around and take a serene walk along the banks of the Tungabhadra River. After visiting Virupaksha Temple, you proceed to visit Vittala Temple, well-known for its exceptional architecture and unmatched craftsmanship which exhibits the architecture of Vijayanagara era. Travel back to Hospet for lunch on the luxury train. After Lunch get ready to explore Royal Center at Hampi. The center constitutes of courtly and military structures that were once the citadel of Vijayanagara era. Thereafter, you visit Queen's Bath, Mahanavami Dibba or great platform, Hazararama Temple, Queens Enclosure along with its Lotus Mahal and the Elephant stables. After full day of exploring Hampi, get back to the comfort of Deccan Odyssey. Dinner and overnight stay onboard as Deccan Odyssey progresses towards Hyderabad.

Day 5: Hyderabad

Deccan Odyssey enters Hyderabad, known as the royal city of Nizams on day 5 of the tour. One popular theory suggests that the founder of the city, Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah named it Bhagmati, who was the Hindu wife of Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, who changed to Islam religion with a name Hyder Mahal. After breakfast, proceed to visit Golconda; the epitome of Nizami culture and grandeur. It is a mud fort which became the seat of Qutub Shahi dynasty. Return to the comforts of Deccan Odyssey for lunch and some rest. After Lunch You may also stroll around the vibrant bazaars of Hyderabad, where you can put your hands on shopping articles such as pearls, lace bangles and ittars. Later, you head to explore the Falaknuma Palace - Mirror of the Sky. Take a tour of this beautiful palace. Return to the Deccan Odyssey for dinner as Deccan Odyssey proceed for Aurangabad.

Day 6: Aurangabad - Ellora Caves

The journey continues as Deccan Odyssey arrives Aurangabad in the morning. The city named after the last Great Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb. Because of the same, one can spot Mughal influences everywhere in the city. Aurangabad is a tourism hub, surrounded by many historical monuments, including the Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as Bibi Ka Maqbara and Panchakki. After breakfast on board guests drive towards the exceptional Ellora Caves. The caves are one of the largest rock-cut monastery-temple cave complexes in the world. There are over 100 caves at the site, 34 of which are open to public. Out of those 34 rock-cut caves 17 represent Hinduism, 12 Buddhist caves and 5 Jain caves, that dates back to the 4th to 5th century AD. The noticeable attraction of the caves is the Kailash temple - which have been entirely carved out of a single rock. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva & resembles Mt. Kailash. Return back to train & have sumptuous Lunch. Have a look at the picture perfect landscape of Maharashtra and its surroundings. Sit back and relax for the evening. Savor your favorite cocktail along with luxurious dinner. Take some rest as Deccan Odyssey proceeds towards Jalgaon. Dinner on board & Overnight stay on Deccan Odyssey.

Day 7: Ajanta Caves

As guests enjoy breakfast onboard, the Deccan Odyssey arrives at the Jalgaon station. Disembark and proceed to the Ajanta Caves, another Heritage site in the region. These caves are rock-cut Buddhist cave which dates to 2nd century BC. All the caves feature sculptures and paintings of Buddhist religious art. Lunch will be on Deccan Odyssey. Post lunch, disembark and a visit to a Mahatma Gandhi's memorial, who was one of the most important leaders not only of India but the entire world. There is much to learn at the Gandhi Teerth that pays honor to the man who walked on the path of non-violence. The man who quoted "My religion is based on truth and non-violence. Truth is my God. Non-violence is the means of realizing Him." In the evening, enjoy a sun downer while watching the amazing beauty of rural India. Have dinner onboard the Deccan Odyssey as the train leaves for the last stop, Mumbai.

Day 8: Mumbai

As train reaches Mumbai early morning, have your breakfast and then disembark at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai. Bid farewell to the Deccan Odyssey as your luxurious journey comes to an end.

In Morning, Deccan Odyssey reaches the holy city of Nashik. After breakfast onboard, disembark to enjoy a walk along the Godavari Ghats. Observe different Hindu rituals at the Ghat. Stroll through the market set by the Ghats, where everything, Right from vegetables to cow dung cakes, lentils to dried seafood is sold in the market. Visit Grover Zampa vineyards, which is the finest wine facility in Nashik. Relish different wines of Chenin, Chardonnay and Shiraz grapes, made from traditional old methods. After delicious lunch at the vineyards, return to Deccan Odyssey. Dinner on board & continue to Aurangabad.

Day 5: Kolhapur

As the train proceed towards city of Kolhapur, enjoys breakfast onboard & spend some time at leisure. Early afternoon, enjoy early lunch onboard & then disembark for a city tour. Visit New Palace Museum, which dates back to 19th Century. Witness its beautiful octagonal architecture. Visit Town-Hall Museum - a neo-gathic structure built in late 18th Century. Enjoy shopping at the local market - which includes world famous, beautifully handcrafted Kolhapuri chappals. Enjoy hi-tea followed by traditional folk dance - Lavanya Sandhya. Visit Shri Mahalakshmi Temple - one of the four famous Shakti Peeths in Maharashtra. Post that, witness traditional martial arts performance called ‘Mardani Khel'. Return back to the comfort of Deccan Odyssey. Enjoy onboard dinner as Deccan Odyssey departs to India's happening destination - Goa.

Day 6: Goa

Arrive Goa - smallest state in India, an Portuguese colony as late as 1961. Enjoy breakfast and then get ready to explore Goa. Drive to Fontainhas, the Latin Quarters in Panjim to witness, some well-preserved houses built in Portuguese style architecture. Explore the culture and architecture of the Portuguese with UNESCO World Heritage Walk around Fontainhas. Continue for Ribandar, the erstwhile capital of Goa. Take a walk through ancient churches and the ruins of the St. Augustine tower which was once the pride of Goa. Enjoy a drive to the Sahakari spice plantation for a traditional Goan feast which is a meal taking major influence from 400 years Old Portuguese rule. Feni, shrimps, kingfish and mackerel are most important portions of the meal. After lunch, enjoy a Goan folk performance and a tour of the spice plantation. Take a sneak peek into Goan life with a visit to an Old Portuguese house. Get back to the Deccan Odyssey for dinner as it departs for Ratnagiri. Enjoy the most scenic railway route in India as the Deccan Odyssey passes through the Konkan region. Overnight on Deccan Odyssey.

Day 7: Sindhudurg

On the penultimate day of the journey, the train enters Sindhudurg, placed off the coast of Malvan. Enjoy breakfast on-board the train. Later, disembark the Deccan Odyssey for exploring the holy town of Sindhudurg. Back to the luxury train for lunch, followed by second leg of sightseeing - which includes visit to the Mango and Cashew Plantations and witness workers laboring at producing king of all fruits in India. Return back to the train in evening. As the train starts its journey back to Mumbai, enjoy dinner. Overnight stay on Deccan Odyssey.

Day 8: Mumbai

Day 3: Aurangabad

After a relaxed breakfast, journey continues in Aurangabad. Disembark for sightseeing of Aurangabad. Start the day by visiting Bibi-ka-Maqbara. A replica of the Taj Mahal in Agra. The mausoleum is of Dilras Banu, the beloved wife of Aurangzeb. Referred to as the 'Taj of the Deccan', the monument was constructed by her son, Prince Azam Shah. Now proceed to a weaving center that specializes in the weaving of Himroo fabric which is connected with Aurangabad's royalty since the 14th century. Afternoon, back on-board the train for Lunch & to relax for some time. Enjoy recreational activities and facilities of the Deccan Odyssey. In the evening, relish a cocktail at the train's lounge, Mumbai-Hi before you enjoy a sumptuous dinner. Stay overnight on the train.

Day 4: Ramtek (Pench National Park)

The day begins as the train now takes a stopover at Ramtek, where we will visit the Pench National Park. Pench is known as the center of numerous rafting opportunities. This park is also known for the management it has and was awarded with the Best management award in the 2011. The park famous, for its abundant flora and fauna, derives its name from the river Pench as it flows within the park. Witness the exotic animals such as the Gaur, Sāmbhar, Chital, Nilgai, Tiger and the Wild Dog apart from 285 different species of birds. Spot some of the best birds and avifauna such as the Malabar pied hornbills and Indian Pittas etc. Later return to the Deccan odyssey and have lunch. In the evening enjoy the luxuries of the Deccan Odyssey. A sumptuous dinner and an overnight stay on the Deccan Odyssey as it departs for the next destination, Tadoba.

Day 5: Tadoba

The train reaches Chandrapur station by 7 am. The first half of the day is for Jungle safari inside Tadoba National Park and Tiger Reserve. This national park boasts a decent population of the big cats. Embark on an early morning safari inside the national park where you can spot a vast variety of wildlife including wild dogs, tigers, sloth bears, spotted cars, various deer species, leopards, wild pigs along with as many as 280 species of colorful birds. After morning's game safari, enjoy brunch at a wildlife resort. Admire the picturesque scenery all around. Interact with the naturalist here to get in-depth knowledge about the wildlife. Return back to the Deccan Odyssey that is stationed at Chandrapur station. Spend the evening on the train while enjoying cocktails and delicious dinner. Stay overnight on the train as it starts its journey to Jalgaon.

Day 6: Jalgaon - Ajanta Caves

Day 6 begins with train reaching Jalgaon Station. After breakfast, disembark as you proceed to visit the UNESCO World heritage site of the Ajanta Caves, which is yet another wonder of caves carved out from rocks. These monuments are dedicated to the ideology of Buddhism and Hinduism. Witness the fine craftsmanship as you watch the beautiful paintings and carvings at the cave. Return back to the train for lunch. Spend evening at leisure onboard, as you enjoy the Luxuries and amenities of Deccan odyssey. Relax at the spa massage. Dinner onboard as train proceeds for next destination "Nashik".

Day 7: Nashik

In Morning, Deccan Odyssey reaches the holy city of Nashik. After breakfast onboard, disembark to enjoy a walk along the Godavari Ghats. Observe different Hindu rituals at the Ghat.
