Day 1: Delhi

Guests started to assemble at Delhi's Safdarjung Railway Station & Welcomed by crew of Maharaja Express. After completing Check in formalities, relax in the comfort of Maharaja Express. Dinner on-board, as Maharajas' Express proceeds for its first destination, Agra. Overnight on the Maharajas' Express.

Day 2: Agra

Arrive Agra in Morning, home to some of the most magnificent architectural gems that were built by Mughal emperors during their reign. Proceed to visit the Taj Mahal - UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will be having Champagne breakfast atop Taj Khema. Guests now have option either to explore Agra by own OR Visit to Itmad-ud-daula or visit to Fatehpur Sikri. Return to the train for lunch. After Lunch or enjoy optional activities like Spa at a 5 star hotel or go for private shopping tour. You can choose to return to the train after this or witness Mohabbat The Taj Show- a cultural show depicting the love story Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. Dinner Onboard as Maharajas Express proceeds for Sawai Madhopur.

Day 3: Ranthambore - Jaipur

Maharaja Express reaches Sawai Madhopur early morning. Proceed for an exciting Game Drive at Ranthambore National Park. Return to the Maharajas' Express & enjoy Breakfast on board. The Maharajas' Express leaves for Jaipur. Lunch on Board. Arrive Jaipur, where guests will be at leisure to visit Amber Fort OR can choose the optional activities such as Spa facilities at a 5 star hotel OR private shopping tour OR golfing at Rambagh Golf club OR Visit City Palace & Jantar Mantar. Day 1: Mumbai

Welcome to the financial capital of India - Mumbai. Guest arrives at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel & transferred to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Upon arrival, guests receives a warm traditional Indian welcome, accompanied with a refreshing drink. After completion of registration process, guests will be escorted to their luxury cabins. With that, Maharaja Express will start, for its first destination i.e, Ajanta Caves. Dinner & Overnight at the comfort of Maharajas Express.

Day 2: Ajanta

Arrive Ajanta & enjoy breakfast on-board. Leave for sightseeing of UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ajanta Caves. These caves are rock-cut Buddhist cave which dates to 2nd century BC. All the caves feature sculptures and paintings of Buddhist religious art. Return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express for lunch on board. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the landscape as the train moves towards Udaipur. Dinner & Overnight on the Maharajas' Express.

Day 3: Udaipur

Have breakfast on board as train reaches Udaipur - the lake city. Disembark & proceed for a Boat ride on Lake Pichola followed by visit to City Palace and Crystal Gallery. Have Sumptuous Lunch at Satkar Hall of Fateh Prakash Palace. After lunch guest has option to return to the train for a relaxed afternoon or can opt for the Spa facilities at 5 Star hotels in Udaipur or go for private shopping tour/Sound and Light show (if time permits). Dinner & Overnight on the Maharajas' Express as train leaves for Jodhpur.

Day 4: Jodhpur

Arrive Jodhpur, Breakfast on-board. Morning is at leisure to admire the comfort of the train or can stroll in the city to get insight view of the local tribes by visiting Bishnoi Village. Lunch on-board. Following lunch, visit rock-solid Mehrangarh Fort & then walking tour of the Old Clock Tower Market. Visit Umaid Bhavan Palace - symbol of brilliant architecture, charm and finesse of bygone era. Proceed for an exclusive Royal Cocktail Dinner with cultural performance (puppet show) at Hanuwant Mahal. Return to the comforts of the Maharajas' Express and leaves for Bikaner. Day 5: Bikaner

Arrive Bikaner in morning & have breakfast on-board. Relax on-board OR you may also choose optional activities such as visit to Lalgarh Museum OR Deshnok (Rat Temple). Lunch onboard. Proceed to visit Junagarh Fort. Post visiting the Fort, leave for Sundowners at the Sand Dunes. On the way relax for a tea break at Gajner Palace. Arrive at the sand dunes followed by cocktails, barbeque and traditional Rajasthan folk dances. Later return to the comforts of the Maharajas' Express. Train leaves for Jaipur. Day 6: Jaipur

Breakfast on-board. Arrive Jaipur, where guests will be at leisure to visit Amber Fort OR Golf club OR Visit City Palace & Jantar Mantar. Visit to City Palace/Jai Mahal Palace & indulge in exclusive Elephant Activity where guests may choose to paint them, feed them or take a joy ride followed lunch. After Early breakfast on board, proceed for an exciting game drive at Ranthambore National Park - which is considered to be the best Place to spot a tiger in his own natural habitat. Return back to the Maharajas' Express & enjoy lunch as it proceeds for Fatehpur Sikri - another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Arrive & Visit the deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. Return to the Maharajas' Express & enjoy Breakfast on board. The Maharajas' Express leaves for Fatehpur Sikri, as guest enjoys sumptuous lunch on board. Arrive Fatehpur Sikri, deserted Mughal city, famous for its Asian Arabic Design. Return back to Maharaja Express for Dinner, as train leaves for Agra.

Day 4: Agra / Gwalior

Arrive Agra in Morning, home to some of the most magnificent architectural gems that were built by Mughal emperors during their reign. Proceed to visit the Taj Mahal - UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will be having Champagne breakfast atop Taj Khema. It was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Get back to the train as it heads to Gwalior & savour lunch onboard. Explore the major attractions of Gwalior including Gwalior Fort, Saas Bahu temple and Jain Cave Sculptures. Guest will visit Jai Vilas Palace Museum for Hi Tea at palace's compound. Get back to the train as it proceeds for Khajuraho. Overnight on the Maharajas' Express.

Day 5: Khajurao

Enjoy breakfast on-board as train arrives to its next destination Khajuraho. Enjoy the picturesque beauty from your cabin's window. Have Lunch on-board and proceed to visit the Khajuraho temples UNESCO World Heritage Site. Get back to the comforts of Maharajas' Express OR enjoy spa facilities at a 5 star hotel. Day 6: Varanasi

After overnight journey, arrive Varanasi - one of the holiest cities in India. Have breakfast on-board, disembark and proceed for sightseeing tour of Varanasi. Located on the banks of river Ganga and is considered as the abode of Lord Shiva. Visit the Silk Weaving center, a manufacturing industry where weaving is done in every household. Have lunch at Taj Gateway Hotel. Visit Sarnath and museums. Sarnath is where Buddha delivered his first speech. Enjoy evening Aarti in River Ganges. Later return back to train & enjoy sumptuous dinner as it leaves for Lucknow.

Day 7: Lucknow

Arrive Lucknow - the city of Nawabs. Enjoy breakfast on board. Early morning arrive at Sawai Madhopur & proceed for an adventurous game Drive at Ranthambore National Park where you may even find the majestic Tiger crouching in the shimmering greens. Return back to the comforts of Maharajas' Express, have breakfast and treat yourself with royalty on board Maharajas' Express. The train then departs for Jaipur; guests can enjoy a sumptuous lunch On Board. Arrive Jaipur - the pink city. Disembark & proceed to visit Jantar Mantar, world's largest sun dial or choose the optional activities such as Spa facilities at a 5 Star hotel or a private shopping tour. Guests then proceed to city Palace/Jai Mahal Palace for exclusive Elephant Activities where guests can choose to indulge to paint them, feed them or take the royal ride followed by a lavish dinner. Return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express and wake up to the fascinating lands of Bikaner.

Day 4: Bikaner

The day begins as the Maharaja Express arrives Bikaner. Enjoy onboard breakfast - get a taste of Indian essence. The ancient city which was named after the king, Rao Bika in 1488. Upon arrival guests can choose to enjoy the comfort on-board or may choose from optional activities such as visit to the Lalgarh Museum or Deshnok temple, the ancient rat temple. Post lunch on-board and then proceed to Junagarh Fort. From Junagarh Fort proceed for breathtakingly beautiful sundowners at the Sand Dunes. En-route enjoy tea break awaits at Gajner Palace. Arrive at sand dunes & enjoy cocktails, barbeque and folk dances. Later return to the comforts of the Maharajas' Express as train proceed for Jodhpur and guests spend overnight on the train.

Day 5: Jodhpur

Enjoy breakfast on-board breakfast as you arrive into Jodhpur. Morning at leisure on-board or guests have multiple sightseeing option which includes visit to Bishnoi village (only if time permits) or may choose to pamper with Spa facilities at a 5 star hotel, an excursion to Umaid Bhawan Palace and Jaswant Thada, a private shopping tour. After lunch embark & visit to explore Mehrangarh Fort. The grand palaces within - Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana are amazing examples of architectural excellence. After the sightseeing the guests will be treated with a royal cocktail evening with cultural puppet show at Hanwant Mahal. Have breakfast on-board as train reaches Udaipur - city of Lakes. Proceed for boat ride on Lake Pichola followed by visit to City Palace and Crystal Gallery. Train arrives Chettinad early Morning. Enjoy breakfast on board, proceed to visit famous Chettinad Mansions and Athnagudi Tile Factory. Proceed for a visit to one of the Chettinad Heritage Hotel. Day 3: Mahabalipuram

After an early breakfast, visit Mahabalipuram. It's known for its temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries. The ancient town is known for its earliest successful sea trade with South Asian countries. The mysterious relics are a 40 minute drive from the train station. Check out the UNESCO World Heritages sites including the Pancha Rathas, Arjunas Penance and Shore Temple, etc. Proceed for lunch at an exclusive venue with folk dances for entertainment. Return back to the comforts of Maharajas' Express as the train proceeds for Mysore. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 4: Mysore

Morning Breakfast On-board as train reaches Mysore station. Disembark for sightseeing in Mysore. Visit Wodeyar Palace popularly known as the Mysore Palace is the first stop. One of the largest in South India, the palace has served as a residence of the royal family of Mysore. Walk through the two ceremonial halls, number of courtyards, gardens and other buildings. Lunch is arranged at the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel. The heritage building, was built for the special stay of the Viceroy of India in the 1920s. The architecture resembles, St. Pauls Cathedral, London. Return to the comforts of Maharajas' Express or have option to visit Srirangapatnam Fort, Dariya Daulat & Tipu Mausoleum. Evening around 2000 hours, proceeds for Hampi, while having dinner onboard Maharajas' Express.

Day 5: Hampi

Have breakfast onboard as train arrives Hospet & proceed for excursion to UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi palace ruins. Located in east-central Karnataka, India - It became the Centre of the Hindu Vijayanagara Empire capital in the 14th century. By 1500 CE Hampi was the world's second-largest medieval-era city after Beijing, and probably India's richest. The most important attraction of Hampi, Narasimha statue - carved out of a single block of stone. Explore the surroundings and the artwork on Battery Operated Carts. Ganesha Statue, Virupaksha Temple, Narasimha Statute, Elephant Stables and the Vittala Temple complex, housing the Musical Pillars Temple and the Stone Chariot are the top attractions to check out. Travel back to train for lunch. As evening sets down, de-board for a visit to the Anegudi Village. Dates back to the Neolithic Age, the village is spread over the blissful banks of river Tungabhadra. Get a glimpse of village life, interact with the locals, and also participate in activities. An optional rejuvenating spa session is also arranged at one of the deluxe hotels in the city. Back to Maharajas' Express. Onboard Dinner as the train proceed to India's entertainment city - Goa.

Day 6: Hampi - Goa

The train proceeds towards Goa in the early morning hours. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast onboard witnessing beautiful scenery with cabins window. Enjoy luxuries onboard. After sumptuous Lunch onboard, Deboard at around 16:00 hours & explore Goa - with influence of Portuguese culture. Enjoy evening of dance and music. Make a stop to visit the Goa Chitra Museum, one of the finest private ethnographic museum in the state. Marvel at collection of pottery, farming tools, musical instruments, carts and palanquins. The museum showcases growth of civilization in Goa. Later in evening, enjoy carnival music followed by dinner at an exclusive venue. After dinner, return to comfort of Maharajas' Express.

Day 7: Goa

After breakfast onboard, proceed for sightseeing. Visit the Churches of North Goa including the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the remains of Saint Francis Xavier are preserved. The next stop, Se Cathedral was built to mark the defeat of the Muslim Army and conquest of Goa by the Portuguese. Later, proceed for a walking tour. The Old Panjim are interesting to explore as you enjoy the blend of the Portuguese and Goan culture. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch at a pre-arranged exclusive venue. Return to Maharajas' Express. Day 1: Mumbai

Welcome to the financial capital of India - Mumbai. Guest arrives at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel & transferred to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Upon arrival, guests receives a warm traditional Indian welcome, accompanied with a refreshing drink. After completion of registration process, guests will be escorted to their luxury cabins. With that, Maharaja Express will start, for its first destination i.e, Goa. Dinner & Overnight at the comfort of Maharajas Express.

Day 2: Goa

Early in the morning arrive in Goa, the Queen of Beaches. After breakfast onboard, disembark for a visit to the Churches of North Goa. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus which contains the relics of Saint Francis Xavier. Later visit the Se Cathedral (the seat of the Archbishop of Goa), built to mark the conquest of Goa by the Portuguese after defeating a Muslim army. Next, proceed for a walking tour of the Old Panjim houses - which are intriguing mix of Portuguese and Goan culture. Return for lunch to the luxury train. Deboard for an evening program of dance and music. En-route, stop at the Goa Chitra Museum, one of the finest private ethnographic museum in the state. Day 3: Goa - Hampi

Have lunch onboard as train reaches Hospet Railway Station in afternoon. On arrival at the Hospet Railway Station, proceed to visit picturesque village - Anegudi. Set on the bank of the Tungabhadra River, the village dates back to the Neolithic Age. Spend time with local & get a glimpse of the village life and participate in activities. Day 4: Hampi

Arrive ‘City of Palaces'. After breakfast onboard, disembark for a visit of Mysore Palace. The residence of the royal family of Mysore, the Palace is one of the largest in South India. A fine example of Indo-Saracenic architecture, the palace is house to ceremonial halls coupled with an array of courtyards, gardens and other buildings.

Afternoon, proceed for lunch at the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel. This heritage building, was built by the Wodeyars for the exclusive stay of the Viceroy of India in the 1920s. The architecture, resembles St. Paul's Cathedral, London. The majestic structure houses a Viceroy Hall, a Ball Room and a restaurant & also enriched with unique ornamentations, which replicates famous palaces in Britain. Return to the luxury of Maharajas Express or you may choose a visit to Shreerangapatnam, the former capital of fearsome warrior Tipu Sultan. The train than proceeds for Cochin. Dinner will be served onboard.

Day 6: Cochin

Arrive Kerala - God's Own Country. Have breakfast and lunch onboard. Disembark in afternoon for a visit to local village complex. Here, witness practice of various traditional arts. A short Tuk Tuk ride to reach the Model Eco Tourism village. Later, visit the unique Chinese Fishing Nets & witness them in action. Proceed to explore a traditional crab farm and also witness activities using coir products. Proceed for dinner to an exclusive venue. Enjoy traditional South Indian dances while you relish a traditional South Indian Dinner. Return back to the Maharaja Express for overnight stay.

Day 7: Kumarakom

Today, Maharaja Express is in Kumarakom - which is famous for its backwaters. After breakfast, enjoy a scenic cruise as the canoes navigate through narrow canals, witnessing panoramic views of the lake - with various birds and Coconut palms creates the perfect landscape.

Have lunch at an exclusive venue lakefront especially for guests of Maharaja Express. Later, witness an exciting Snake Boat Race. Kerala's Snake Boat Races are quite famous. The ancient boats are used for competitive games, which are rowed by around 60 boatmen for racing.
